The UFC returns to London and the O2 Arena tonight as Manchester’s Tom Aspinall takes on Marcin Tybura in the main event. Aspinall has not fought since he suffered a knee injury in his last bout against Curtis Blaydes a year ago. He will be looking resume his bid for a title shot with a victory over Tybura who has won seven of his last eight fights.
This will be the third time Aspinall has headlined a UFC London card. He faced very little adversity in the first one, beating Alexander Volkov by submission in just over half a round. The second fight is where he picked up the knee injury after only 15 seconds, but a rejuvenated Aspinall is fit again and ready to get his career back on track.
In the co-main event, Molly McCann will be looking to get back to winning ways against Julija Stoliarenko. Erin Blanchfield put a stop to McCann’s streak last year, but a raucous London crowd may inspire her to deliver another special performance.
