Fabio Wardley takes on Justis Huni in a homecoming bout for Fabio Wardley at Ipswich’s home ground, Portman Road.
Wardley returns to the ring this Saturday following his brutal KO of Frazer Clarke but he faces a Aussie in the name of Justis Huni who is coming off the back of his own KO win.
The home fighter Wardley will be looking to put on a great performance in front of the Portman Road faithful. He is coming off the back of brutal back to back fights with Frazer Clarke with a draw in the first and a brutal 1st round KO. Wardley hasn’t had the amatuer background that Huni or most fighters have had, famously fighting solely white collar before turning professional but this hasn’t stopped him. It’s seen Wardley garner a 18-0-1 record with 17 KO wins (only going to decision in his first ever bout which was only 4 rounds). He has been taken to deep waters with the first Clarke bout but has shown he can read and improve in the 2nd fight.
Justis Huni on the other hand is much more unknown especially to casual boxing fans. Huni hasn’t fought the best of opposition yet mainly fighting the Australian national scene but has fought former world title challenger Kevin Lerena beating him in a unanimous decision. The Australian will have to rely on his superior boxing skill and fast hands to avoid the big punches from Wardley but is away Fabio has the power advantage.
The fight will heavily rely on whether Wardley can bait Huni into a firefight which massively favours Wardley or if Huni can use his fast hands and head movement to stay away from Wardley’s attacks.
