In a fiery live stream hosted by Adam22, it was revealed that UFC Hall of Famer Donald Cerrone is far from admiring Andrew Tate's prowess in the ring. This could trigger a possible new feud in the combat world.
It seems Cerrone isn't the only UFC name targeting Tate. Earlier this year, former flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo also took a swipe, brazenly labelling Tate’s kickboxing record as “ridiculous.” A serious dent to Tate's reputation, indeed.
Tate responded, “If he thinks I can’t fight, then if he wants to tell me to my face and kick my a**, he’s welcome to try. I strongly believe he will regret that decision, and that’s as far as I need to take it.”
Cerrone’s Response to Andrew Tate
Subsequently, Cerrone, affectionately hailed by fans, fired back with a rather scathing video released on Instagram. In the footage, he accuses Tate of being a runner in his career- always evading battles. Cerrone also goes further to challenge Tate's credentials as a 'real' fighter, alleging that he's a counterfeit pretending with a stack of unearned championship belts, apparently purchased off eBay.
The ex-UFC lightweight champion wasn't just all talk, he even proposed a tantalising out-of-retirement return fight against Tate, stirring intrigue. What's more, he suggested this take place as a warm-up to the highly-anticipated Musk-Zuckerberg bout.
Moreover, Cerrone took advantage of his close ties with Dana White, suggesting that if Tate's is looking to leverage his apparent social media influence, perhaps a spot in the Zuckerberg vs Musk encounter would be a grand stage for their battle.
Dana White seems set on making Musk vs Zuckerberg as the two tech wizards have selected their training partners with Zuckerberg even recently earning his blue belt in BJJ.
