Eubank Jr Wants Golovkin, and Is Open to Khan or Brook

Following a dominant boxing display over Liam Williams, Chris Eubank Jr’s number one target is Gennadiy Golovkin. However, he is open to facing the winner of Kell Brook and Amir Khan.

Kell Brook is finally set to face Khan on February 19, as the pair’s rivalry has continued for years.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Eubank Jr said: That is the number one target. He is up there as the fight that I want next. He is at the top of the list.

“But that’s the exciting thing about the middleweight division right now, there are so many big names and world championships to fight for.

“We’re gunning for a big name and a big title in the summer.”

Who Will Chris Eubank Jr Fight Next?

Golovkin was due to face Ryota Murata in December, but the fight was postponed. Now, it’s looking more likely that the bout will be rearranged.

Golovkin would go on to face Kamil Szeremeta back in December. After dropping the Polish native four times, Golovkin would earn a stoppage win in the seventh.

When asked about potentially facing either Brook or Khan, Eubank Jr said: “If the fans want it, then absolutely. We’ll have to see what happens in the fight with him and Amir.

“Would a fight with the winner be a possibility? Absolutely. If the fans want it, I’m down 100 per cent.”

So, with Brook set to face Khan later this month, it’s fair to say that Eubank Jr is not short of options as he looks to make 2022 his year.
