The UFC returns after a weeklong break for the first event of February, as Derrick Lewis and Serghei Spivac headline a twelve-fight card from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card also plays host to the Road To UFC finale on a night tailored to the Asia-based MMA fans. In the US, both the prelims and main card will be available on ESPN+. In the UK, the first hour of the prelims will be available on UFC Fight Pass with the remaining prelims and main card airing on BT Sport 1.
As mentioned, in the main event, Derrick Lewis (26-10) welcomes rising contender Serghei Spivac (15-3) to the elite of the division. The American will be looking to snap a two-fight losing streak whilst ‘Polar Bear’ is looking to make it six wins in his last seven fights. In the co-main event, Da Un Jung (15-3 1) faces Devin Clark (13-7) in a bout where the winner surely edges towards the rankings.
Marcin Tybura (23-7) takes on Blagoy Ivanov (19-4, 1 NC) while Doo Ho Choi (14-3) returns against Kyle Nelson (13-5), a fight that has bonuses written all over it. Finally, opening the main card, Yusaku Kinoshita (6-1) makes his UFC debut against Adam Fugitt (8-3).
As the card was originally planned to take place in Korea, the fights will get underway at a slightly later time than usual. The main card gets underway from 6 am GMT/1 am ET, with the prelims at 3 am GMT/10 pm ET. The card was moved from Korea to Las Vegas when Chan Sung Jung pulled out of his final fight with an injury.
