As much as Derrick Lewis is not a fan of five-round fights, the marquee looks a bit brighter with his name in the main event spot. Between his knockouts and his memorable quotes inside the Octagon, Derrick Lewis is always must-see TV.
Enter Rodrigo Nascimento, the new young gun on the UFC heavyweight scene that looks to use the name Derrick Lewis as a stepping stone.
Derrick Lewis can play spoiler to Rodrigo’s rise in the heavyweight division. Time and time again, Lewis has proven critics wrong when they count him out and forget how much of a staple he is against the rising stars.
It is just unfortunate that the devastating power and all the spectacular knockouts have not been rewarded with a championship or another shot at gold since 2018.
