As the pandemonium to secure tickets to the UFC’s second trip to the UK capital commences. Fans are eager to fork out their hard-earned cash to attend what will be another special event. Tickets usually go fast, and with prices varying from hundreds, to thousands of pounds. We thought we’d take a look at the UFC London July 22nd fight card so far, to help the undecided few.
As news of the event filtered through, with Michael Bisping ‘leaking’ the date. Many fans and media began to speculate what bouts we’d see in London. A welterweight champion clash between Leon Edwards Vs Colby Covington seemed all too obvious. However, the former reiterated he would be unable to compete in July putting the kibosh on any pay-per-view hopes.
Main Event Scramble
With Edwards out of the picture, the speculation of who would headline began to ramp up. With many names making waves from a UK perspective. The options for a headlining man became shorter and shorter as the weeks passed by.
The mantle fell to former UFC London headliner Tom Aspinall, who will make his return to action for the first time since UFC London in July of 2022. His last main event in the capital ended in disappointing circumstances. As Tom blew his knee out just seconds into his bout with Curtis Blaydes.
