UFC 313 is just around the corner, but before it can get along, first must come the weigh-ins. The main event is Alex Pereira defending his light-heavyweight championship against Magomed Ankalaev. Pereira continues to rise as a beloved name in MMA with his excellent striking and his thunderous power. However, if he wants to continue his rise he will have to defend his belt against Ankalaev. Ankalaev has been slowly rising in the division and is now finally getting his shot. He could be Pereira’s toughest challenge having the best wrestling credentials out of any past opponent.
And the co-main event will be a rematch between Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev. Initially scheduled to be fighting Dan Hooker Gaethje finds himself rematching an old foe with Hooker pulling out due to a hand injury. In stepped Fiziev who is returning to the cage after over a year following a nasty knee injury in a fight against Mateusz Gamrot. This promises to be an entertaining affair with their last bout being competitive with the 2 strikers looking to remind the division of who they are at UFC 313.
