Tonight’s UFC 300 prelims features a thrilling featherweight bout between Calvin Kattar and Aljamain Sterling.
Fights like Aljamain Sterling vs. Calvin Kattar is what made UFC 300 so special. It is a championship caliber fight without a title on the line, but a win means a lot and could be an eye opener for who is a contender.
Former bantamweight champion is making his first walk to the cage since losing his UFC bantamweight title to Sean O’Malley at UFC 292. The fight with Kattar marks Sterling’s first fight in his new division. Kattar, who enters the fight with two back-to-back losses to Arnold Allen and Josh Emmet, but the crisp boxer will be fully focused on spoiling the party for the featherweight newcomer.
Aljamain Sterling put on a dominate showing in his featherweight debut, and didn’t give Kattar a second to breath. The grappling and takedowns were to much for Kattar, and he had no answer. A big win for Sterling, but the fans disapproved.
