UFC 300 will be happening this Saturday 13th April and UFC CEO Dana White has announced an increase in bonuses. Dana White has announced Performance Bonuses for this historic card will be $300,000. The decision to increase the bonuses was made at the press conference. Throughout the week there had been calls to Dana White to increase the bonus cheque. This is due to how talented the card is with 12 current or former champions competing.
Dana White would go on to ask the fighters how much the bonuses should be. This was because it was pointed out at UFC 100 bonuses were $100,000.
Dana White: “What should it be raised to?”
Fighters: “300,000!”
Dana White: “$300,000 it’s done”
This shows that If you don’t ask for an increase you won’t get one. Everyone had been asking and due to how historic this event is going to be Dana White will reward his fighters. It will also be an extra incentive to get the finish. It was $100,000 at UFC 100 and $300, 000 for UFC 300 will we see this be the same at UFC 400 we will have to wait and find out.
UFC Fighters Get UFC 300 Bonus Increase
Featherweight Sodiq Yusuff tried his best to increase his chance of getting a bonus at UFC 300. Yusuff asked for bonuses for all three parts of the card early prelims, prelims and main card however, Dana White wasn’t about to be that generous.
“There’s $1.2 million in bonuses,” White said in response. “Fight your ass off.”
UFC occasionally increases bonuses for special events. Dana White once awarded a bonus to every fighter who earned a finish that week before.
This weekend the fighters will be fighting for two $300,000 “Performance of the Night” awards as well as $300,000 for each competitor involved in “Fight of the Night”. We will need to see who will be leaving UFC 300 $300,000 richer.
