UFC 293 sees middleweight champion Israel Adesanya defend his belt against number five-ranked Sean Strickland in Sydney, Australia.
The card doesn’t have the same star power as the previous three UFC pay-per-views but the action will be non-stop from 11:30 PM UK time tonight on UFC Fight Pass for the early prelims, before moving to TNT Sports for the start of the prelims at 1 AM.
Details of The Main Event And Co-Main Event
The main event unfortunately isn’t the Adesanya vs. Du Plessis fight all fans wanted for Israel’s homecoming but nevertheless, the Aussie fans will get to see their main star in action as he takes on Sean Strickland. Many fans expect this to be an easy night’s work for ‘The Last Stylebender’ but he refuses to take his opponent lightly, referring to him as ‘dangerous’ during the press conference as he believes Strickland doesn’t expect to win and therefore has nothing to lose.
Tai ‘Bam Bam’ Tuivasa will take on fellow top-ten-ranked heavyweight Alexander Volkov in the co-main event of the evening. The rest of the card is filled heavily with talent from Australia or New Zealand in most fights. Ireland’s newest member of the UFC roster Kiefer Crosbie will open the early prelims against Kevin Jousset.
