One of the most anticipated events in recent memory is mere days away. A mega card full of some of the best martial artists on the planet the UFC 280 fight card is a must-watch. With 12 fights there is a plethora of talent throughout and from start to finish it should be electric.

The Main Card

Headlined by one of the most intriguing match-ups the UFC has to offer. As Charles Oliveira takes on Islam Makhachev for the vacant Lightweight title. The co-main event will see Aljamain Sterling defend his Bantamweight crown against former two-time champion T.J Dillashaw.

Three more fights make up the main card, with a Bantamweight showcase between #1 Petr Yan as he takes on #12 Sean O’Malley who’s looking to pull off the biggest win of his career. What some consider is too soon for Sean, this fight divides opinion massively. With two extremely talented strikers, it will be a true showcase.

Back to Lightweight, we see two of the very best compete in their quests for gold. #6 Beneil Dariush has been on a career-best run winning seven fights in a row. Across the cage from him will be #9 21-1 (1 NC) Mateusz Gamrot. Despite losing his debut he has since gone 4-0 in the promotion.

Rounding out the main card will be a Women’s Flyweight contest between two of the division’s elite. The ever-game #1 Katlyn Chookagian continues to take on whoever wherever. Stepping up for her biggest career challenge to date will be #6 Manon Fiorot, currently on a nine-fight winning run.

The Prelims

Not just stacked at the top, the UFC 280 prelims boast some tremendous bouts as well. The pick of the bunch is arguably the featured Prelim with two highly ranked Welterweights facing one another. #5 Belal Muhammad looks to continue his form and take the 0 of undefeated Sean Brady who’s ranked #8. Two men who excel in grappling it’s as close as a fight gets on paper.

Moving down the card a fraction, two Light Heavyweights look to make a statement and propel their names into the title picture. #8 Volkan Oezdemir and #10 Nikita Krylov square off both coming off an impressive win respectively. Both looking to keep their form alive, expect fireworks.

Further down the card, we see one of the UFC’s youngest fighters take on his most accomplished opponent to date. Muhammad Mokaev looks to remain undefeated and prove the hype is real. Looking to derail the train will be Malcolm Gordon who goes into this fight on a two-fight run.
