Tonight in Manchester, England, Tommy Fury and KSI went toe-to-toe in the main event of a Misfits Boxing event.
KSI made the walk for the first time since his no-contest matchup with Joe Fournier back in May. The bout’s aftermath had a significant amount of controversy, with KSI being awarded the knockout victory, which was eventually overturned to a no-contest. Upon review, the initial “knockout” blow came from KSI’s elbow. Beforehand, KSI knocked out Faze Temperrrr in January in the first round.
On the other hand, Tommy Fury’s last outing occurred in February, where he earned a split-decision win over Jake Paul. Tonight, after another lacklustre performance, Fury moved to (10-0).
In the first round, KSI came out dancing with a style that can only be compared with Michael ‘Venom’ Page, someone KSI had been training with ahead of his headliner. Right from the get-go, KSI lands a stiff right hand that gets the crowd’s attention. The pair clinch up for the rest of the round, and upon release, Fury lands a strike to the back of his opponent’s head.

In the second, the movement from KSI appears to be frustrating Fury. Still, Fury pressures forward welcomes the clinch and lands another shot to the back of the head. Having already been warned, the referee was left with no option other than to take a point. Despite Fury’s use of his jab, KSI ends the round with a solid shot.
Potentially down two-rounds, Fury starts picking up the pace and lands a clean right hand as KSI charges forward. It was the best round for Fury, who landed clean on several occasions, forcing KSI to clinch.
The fourth round saw Fury utilise his jab and go back to basic. The movement from KSI had faded from the first, and the lactic acid in his arms began building. It began getting extremely messy for both competitors and for the consumer, it wasn’t great.
What Unfolded
Rounds five and six followed suit, with both men landing and looking to be aggressive. However, the clinches slowed down the fight massively until we reached the final bell.
