With Francis Ngannou signing for the PFL, you might have heard. The media frenzy has started. With all and everyone who is something in the MMA world, we have seen how many react to the news. From fighters, influencers, media and fans alike.
The deal sees Ngannou not only sign to fight for the PFL but take on a senior role as well. He’ll have a leadership role on the PFL global advisory board. As well as being an equity owner and the chairman of PFL Africa.
Looking to make his in-cage debut in mid-2024. Against what PFL has described as a “major global MMA starfighter.” Ngannou’s deal also gives “the Predator” freedom to pursue other ventures. One of which I’m sure the Cameroonian would be keen on is boxing.
It’s clear to see from the reactions and press release that Ngannou wants to box first. With no clear opponents in mind as of yet, the timeline looks like he’ll compete in the squares circle later this year. Before returning to the MMA cage in 2024.
