Kevin Del opens PFL Paris by performing eye-opening heel hook to score submission Over Najid

Both men come out to the center of the SmartCage. Powerful low kicks from Najid to start off. Del tries to land one of his own, but Najid backs up. Del gets it on the second try. Front kick by Najid, followed by a low kick. Front kick by Najid, but he misses a high kick attempt. The two lock up, with Najid getting to Del’s back. Del goes down and rolls, and he gets a heel hook! Najid taps out!

Florim Zendeli brings the pressure, scores the submission in PFL Paris

The fight opens with a front kick by Langowski. Low kick by Langowski Zendeli. Langowski with a jab, and Zendeli answers with a low kick. Zendeli tries to lock up and pushes Langowski toward the fence. Langowski gets an underhook in order to fight back. Zendeli gets to Langowski’s back and forces him against the PFL SmartCage. Langowski gets back to his feet, but Zendeli forces him back to the ground in a sitting position. Zendeli throws some hands as Langowski returns to his feet. Langowski manages to bring things back to the center, surviving the wrestling onslaught. But with about 75 seconds to go in the round, Zendeli scores another takedown. He quickly locks in a rear-naked choke, and Langowski goes out!

Daniele Scatizzi impresses with submission work in PFL Europe debut

Chizov opens with a front kick and a right hand to start. Chizov misses with a high kick but lands a low one. Scatizzi lands a low kick of his own. Chizov is trying to come forward. Scatizzi tries for a high kick, but Chizov grabs it and scores a takedown. Scatizzi throws up his guard. Chizov lands a couple of strong legs and starts to move Scatizzi toward the fence. Chizov transitions into half-guard and looks for a D’Arce choke. Scatizzi looks for a sweep and grabs a hold of Chizov’s ankle, looking for a leg lock. Scatizzi, however, maintains his grip in a roll attempt and goes from an outside heel hook into an inside heel hook! And he gets the finish!

Connor Hughes counter attack leads him to PFL Europe Playoffs

After falling short in last year’s PFL Europe lightweight tournament, Connor Hughes is back and seeking the gold that escaped him.

Baal starts bouncing in and out on the outside as he deals with the pressure from Hughes. Baal fires off a one-two, and Hughes misses a counter hook. Front kick from Hughes. A one-two from Hughes lands on Baal’s guard. Hughes misses a high kick. Baal pressures with a flurry and lands twice. Baal tries to blitz again, but Hughes lands a counter right hook and Baal is knocked out!

OFFICIAL RESULT Connor Hughes defeats Anatolij Baal by 1st round KO (1:31) in a Lightweight Regular Season bout. Hughes advances to the 2024 PFL Europe Playoffs. Hughes will face the winner of Chouchane vs. Capella in the Playoffs.

Islem Masraf needs just a head kick, two follow-up strikes for a dramatic, fast KO

Groghue slowly paces back and forth on his side of the SmartCage, causing the referee to ask for his attention. Groghue comes out, still plodding and with his hands down. Masrat, meanwhile, comes out to the center and lands a head kick that drops Groghue! Masrat lands a couple of right hands and it’s over already! All it takes is 10 seconds.

Najid choked out in opening round to First Von-Flue in PFL History

Daniele Miceli advances to the next stage of this year’s PFL Europe welterweight tournament after he choked out Yassin Najid in the opening round. After a brief exhcange in the opening stages, Miceli managed to get Najid on the mat and a choke hold rendered the Frenchman unable to continue.

Ignacio Capella scores brutal KO to move on to PFL Europe lightweight playoffs

Chouchane fires off a left jab, followed by a kick. And continues to flash his jab. Chouchane lands a right hand. Capella fires off a couple of hooks. Chouchane throws a couple of right hands. Capella knocks Chouchane down with a couple of hooks! He gets back to his feet, but Chouchane looks hurt! Capella fires more and forces a level change. The two continue to exchange until a toss attempt by Chouchane. Unfortunately for him, Capella lands on top and gets a body lock. Chouchane looks for butterfly locks while Capella tries to work him over. Chouchane has some swelling under one of his eyes.

Low kick from Chouchane to start the round. Body kick by Chouchane. Both throw jabs, and Capella misses a hook. Chouchane seems to have been rocked briefly, and Capella sticks with his pressure. Chouchane firing off combinations while on the back foot, both ending in a kick. Jab by Chouchane. There is a combination from Chouchane, but Capella continues to fire off. Both men miss big hooks. Both throw lefts. Chouchane lands a short hook. Capella throws a hook. Capella seems to have wobbled Chouchane. Chouchane tries to come in and Capella lands an uppercut that drops Chouchane out cold! He remains out cold as Capella celebrates in the SmartCage!

OFFICIAL RESULT Ignacio Capella defeats Yazid Chouchane by 2nd round KO (2:31) in the Lightweight Regular Season, clinching a spot in the 2024 PFL Europe Playoffs. Capella will face Connor Hughes in the Semifinals.

Abdouraguimov wins on the scorecards

France’s Abdoul Abdouraguimov makes it eight successive wins with a split decision win over Jack Grant. Two judges scored the fight 30-27 and 29-28 in Abdouraguimov’s favour, while one judge scored contest 29-28 to Jack Grant.

Grant will be proud of the performance he gave in the cage, the British fighter did not show any signs of buckling despite finding himself in numerous submission attempts. However, while Grant was able to survive these attempts, he was unable to make any inroads of his own against a fighter who was backed by a vocal PFL Paris crowd.

Crazy End to PFL Paris as Baysangur Chamsoudinov defeats Cedric Doumbe

The first round was dominated by Chamsoudinov and his strategy was clear. While Doumbe looked to set the tone early with a number of calf kicks, Chamsoudinov was quick to take advantage and force Doumbe onto the mat. But while Chamsoudinov was able to take the fight to the canvas, Doumbe never allowed his opponent to gain control and was able to escape any submission attempts before getting Chamsoudinov back to this feet.

Then came round two where Doumbe looked to be stepping up the pressure with a stiff jab and right hand which rocked Chamsoudinov. However, round 3 something was troubling Doumbe and he did signal to referee Marc Goddard that there was a possible problem with his foot. Goddard told the two fighters to continue with Doumbe’s injury not being caused by any illegal actions inside the cage, but when Doumbe signalled for a second time about the injury, Goddard was forced to stop the fight and award the win to Chamsoudinov with Doumbe unable to continue.
