Who Is Fighting From the UK
Stevie Ray comes into this one following a tough loss to league co-leader Alex Martinez. He was hoping to bounce back against fellow UFC alumni Anthony Pettis. The former lightweight champ Pettis is 1-0 so far this season following a first-round finish of Myles Price and is one of the favourites to win the season. A few days out, though, Pettis withdrew, giving the young Ago Huskic the chance to shock the Scot. For Ray, though, the task remains clear, and points are points regardless of source.
Stuart Austin has had a tough start to his campaign, and now he faces Ante Delija. Delija is a Cro-Cop protege with big power and a steely demeanour. Austin himself, though, is a very capable practitioner. The first man to defeat Tom Aspinall, as well as a more recent win over Satoshi Ishii, he has taken out big names before.
Brendan Loughnane is a name the British UFC fans have been chanting at the UFC brass for years. Following a contenders series bout that many thoughts deserved a contract that he never received, Loughnane became the hottest free agent on the market. His opponent on that night, Bill Algeo, has since been signed to the UFC after defeating on 9-7 opponent. On the other hand, Loughnane has gone 5-1 and takes on Boston Salmon to make it 6-1. A favourite to win the whole thing, the Brit will be hoping for a finish and some extra points come Friday.
