PFL 10 is here with a massive six championship fights! In the main event two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison will face off against Larissa Pacheco for the Women’s Lightweight title and a prize of £1,000,000. The two lightweights have met before, with Harrison winning via decision in both fights.

The fight card following this will feature –

Featherweight Championship: Brendan Loughnane vs Bubba Jenkins

Heavyweight Championship: Ante Delia vs Matheus Scheffel

Women’s Featherweight: Aspen Ladd vs Julia Budd

Lightweight Championship: Stevie Ray vs Olivier Aubin-Mercier

Welterweight Championship: Dilano Taylor vs Sadibou Sy

Light Heavyweight Championship: Omari Akhmedov vs Rob Wilkinson

PFL 10 Predictions

Kayla Harrison vs Larissa Pacheco

Harrison is the biggest favourite on the card at -720. She’s also beaten Pacheco twice in the past. However, Pacheco has since won her last five in a row all via either KO or TKO. Does she have it in her to beat the unbeaten Kayla Harrison? For me, it’s a big no. Pacheco has looked great lately but Harrison just seems a whole level up from her fellow lightweights. I have Kayla winning via TKO in round 3.

Staff picking Harrison: Jed Leon, Louie Jayy, Lewis Hart, Patrick McCorry, Lewis Glover, Lewis Simpson

Staff picking Pacheco:

Brendan Loughnane vs Bubba Jenkins

Brendan Loughnane is a serial winner. He holds a 25-4 record and 3 of those 4 losses were via split decision. On another night we could have seen him get the nod in those matches. He’s super well-rounded but has only 1 finish in his 7 PFL fights. Bubba also has just 1 finish in his 6 PFL fights too but also has an impressive 19-5 MMA record. Which fighter will impose their will and earn £1,000,000?

A tough test for both but I see Loughnane getting his hand raised. I think his well-roundedness will get him the judge’s nod over 5 rounds. This could be right down the wire though, a great matchup.

Staff picking Loughnane: Jed Leon, Lewis Hart, Patrick McCorry, Lewis Glover Louie Jay, Lewis Simpson

Staff picking Jenkins:

Ante Delija vs Matheus Scheffel

Hard-hitting heavyweights collide again under the PFL banner. Delija currently holds a round two KO over Scheffel from back in April. Since the loss for Scheffel, he’s bounced back earning back-to-back victories and Delija has also won two. Will history repeat itself?

I think so. I think Delija has given us no reason to show us he cannot repeat what he did earlier this year. But at Heavyweight anything can happen. I predict a round-one finish for Ante.

Staff picking Delija: Jed Leon, Lewis Simpson, Louie Jay, Lewis Glover, Patrick McCorry, Lewis Hart

Staff picking Scheffell:

Julia Budd vs Aspen Ladd

The only fight on this main card is not for a title but it’s still a big one! Both women with big names on the scene. Aspen was notoriously cut from The UFC after missing weight for the third time. A twelve-year age gap presents itself in this match-up, which I think will be a deciding factor. Budd 39 and Aspen 27. Will experience win? Or will a young hungry fighter show her how it is done?

My prediction is experience. This will be Ladd’s first PFL fight. Something new for her and coming off two losses. Budd will be more experienced and take a unanimous decision.

Staff picking Budd: Jed Leon, Louie Jay,

Staff picking Ladd: Lewis Hart, Patrick McCorry, Lewis Glover, Lewis Simpson

Stevie Ray vs Olivier Aubin-Mercier

Two brilliant fighters for this Lightweight championship fight. Stevie Ray has defied the odds and made his way to the finals. Even beating former UFC Lightweight king Anthony Pettis, twice! Olivier is also a former UFC fighter and since joining the PFL banner has gone undefeated. Will it be a Cinderella story for Stevie? or will Olivier continue his winning ways?

I think Olivier ruins the party. He’s an extremely good grappler and although Stevie is too, I just think the style of grappling Olivier brings to the match will overwhelm Stevie in the course of five rounds. Decision win for the Canadian.

Staff picking Ray: Lewis Hart, Patrick McCorry, Lewis Glover, Louie Jay, Lewis Simpson

Staff picking Aubin-Mercier: Jed Leon

Sadibou Sy vs Dilano Taylor

Sy has looked great since defeating former UFC fighter and Bellator champ Rory MacDonald. Which is no easy feat. His career has vastly been in the PFL and has now strung consecutive wins together earning him a shot at gold. Dilano Taylor too holds a win over MacDonald. Dilano unlike Sy though finished the former champ. The bookies have this fight as a pick’em fight, and for good reason.

Who do I think will win? I am picking Dilano to win. I think he has a slightly higher finish rate than Sy and looks better on the feet. This really could go either way!

Staff picking Sy: Louie Jay, Lewis Glover, Patrick McCorry, Lewis Hart

Staff picking Taylor: Jed Leon, Lewis Simpson

Rob Wilkinson vs Omari Akhmedov

Rob has looked sensational since his last defeat. Which came at the hands of former UFC Middleweight king, Israel Adesanya. Rob has since won 8 fights, which also include boxing and kickboxing matches. 7 of those via deadly finish. His opponent is a Russian beast. Who at one point had a six-fight win streak inside the UFC. This fight is a grappler vs striker match-up and is dictated by whose style takes over first.

Carrying the momentum into the fight is making me pick Rob. he truly has looked amazing of late. If he can stop the grappling of Akhmedov early and put pressure on he can get the job done. I am going Rob via KO in round 2.

Staff picking Wilkinson: Jed Leon, Lewis Hart, Lewis Simpson, Louie Jay

Staff picking Akhmedov: Lewis Glover

Who are you picking? What staff member is getting the most points this weekend at PFL 10?
