Patricio Pitbull Calls Out Jose Aldo
Despite having a fight against Yair Rodriguez at UFC 314, Patricio Pitbull has his eye set on his next fight. Speaking to MMA Fighting, the former Bellator champion said, “For Aldo and people in the UFC, everybody is sure he’s the best featherweight of all time.”
Pitbull said, “But some people that know fighting [say], ‘There’s also Patricio, and maybe he could be fighting for the title of who’s the greatest.’ Anyway, I think the best way to settle this would be in a fight.”
“We know it wouldn’t determine who was the best or who has done more, but in a fight, we would at least have an answer, we’d know who catches fire first, and the winner would leave a great mark.”
Bellator and PFL Partnership Leads to Mass Exodus of Fighters
Following the emergence of Bellator and PFL to combine to compete with the UFC, it has led to many fighters leaving the organisation. This has included champions who expressed their frustration at a lack of events and organisation.
One of these fighters was Patricio Pitbull, with the Mexican fighter leaving the promotion to sign for the UFC. Despite the initial hurdles PFL has said fighters will be made aware of events earlier and opponents after several cancellations. It has not been a success so far, with James Gallagher the latest to leave the organisation.
