“12 Gauge” will make her third Bare Knuckle appearance after a year long hiatus from the sport.

Paige VanZant was a young emerging superstar on the MMA scene. She signed to the UFC in 2014 at just 20 years of age. Within her first year she racked up 3 wins in the octagon and boasted a 6-1 MMA record. Before running in to current ranked number 1 Strawweight and former UFC Strawweight Champion Rose Namajunas. After nine fights in the UFC, she left the company with a 5-4 record.

Paige who is yet to find her feet in the BKFC ring currently has a record of 0-2 with the organisation. Her
most recent bout in July 2021 came against former MMA and UFC opponent Racheal Ostovich.
Although victorious in her MMA bout with Ostovich in 2019, Paige found her self on the losing side at BKFC 19, losing via unanimous decision.

Her opponent?
Although not as a well known name as Paige VanZant, Charisa Sigala, 38, brings more experience to the Bare Knuckle ring, with a 1-2-1 record. Her last outing was in March 2022, where she battled to a majority draw against Angela Danzig.

When and Where?
The two fighters are set to throw down on August 20th 2022, at the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships first event on UK soil, BKFC 27. The event will be held at the OVO Arena Wembley in London.

VanZant vs Sigala will act as the Co-Main event of the night. The headline spot will see Bellator standout Michael “Venom” Page take on former UFC brawler Mike “Platinum” Perry. A fight that is due to produce absolute fireworks.

Tickets for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 27 are still available here.

So what do you think of Paige’s return? Does she get her first win in BKFC? Let us know in the comments!
