One Fight Night 23 Live Results and Highlights

ONE Championship will be bringing ONE Fight Night 23 this Friday. This evening we will see a Interim lightweight title fight when Rae Yoon Ok will be facing off against Alibeg Rasulov. The winner of this fight will be setting up a fight against the current champion Christian Lee.

Jackie Buntan was supposed to be competing against Anissa Meksen. This fight was going to be for the ONE Championship Kickboxing Title. However, during training, Jackie Buntan ended up breaking her toe which caused her to withdraw from her fight against Anissa Meksen. ONE Championship tried to keep Anissa Meksen on the card however, an opponent wouldn’t be able to be found. This in turn bumped up Rae Yoon Ok and Alibeg Rasulov to become the main event.

This then promoted the fight between Nico Carrillo against Saemapetch Fairtex in a Bantamweight Muay Thai contest to become the new co-main event. Nico Carrillo is currently on a 3 fight-winning streak and is undefeated under ONE Championship. This included 1 by knockout and 2 by TKO. He will be facing Saemapetch Fairtex who is currently 9-5 and is currently on a 1-fight winning streak. This was a TKO victory in the first round against Mohamed Younes Rabah. Also featuring on this card will include Oumar Kane who will be taking on Mamadou Kamara in a kickboxing fight.

Result: Alibeg Rasulov defeats Ok Rae Yoon by unanimous decision however, doesn’t become the Interim champion due to failing to pass hydration in the time limit

A great card but ends on a bit of a flat note.

Alibeg Rasulov gets the UD but can’t win the interim lightweight MMA title because he failed hydration.
