Fabio Wardley is ready to put on a show at his hometown stadium Portman Road and will not let Justis Huni spoil the moment.
The British heavyweight has the chance to shine on the biggest stage in front of his home fans in Ipswich.
Not only is pride on the line, the WBA interim title is up for grabs for the victor.
And Wardley is more than convinced he will come out on the other side with the belt around his waist.
He said: “It is nothing new for me, the standard talk of me not having an amateur background and me being inexperienced in that sense… I haven’t been defeated yet and I have come across star-studded amateurs and Olympic medalists and all sorts.
“I don’t know where these things are supposed to match up and are supposed to go wrong for me.
“They haven’t yet.”
A lifelong fan of the Tractor Boys, the 30-year-old is not allowing Huni to ruin his moment.
“There is no way this is being taken away from me now,” Wardley said.
“Not in my hometown, not on my home stage.”
Huni ‘can’t wait’ to fight in Wardley’s hometown
The Australian challenger though is ready to come and spoil the party.
An amateur standout in his own right, he will hope this experience will unravel an opponent without the same pedigree.
Huni said: “My ring IQ, my experience in the ring, knowing where l am at all times. It will show on fight night.
“I’ve done all the training that I’ve needed to do and I am ready to go.”
One difference between himself and other Wardley opponents is his humility throughout the build-up.
Not on for trash talking his way through a build-up, instead, opting to share the excitement of delivering for fans in the East of England.
He said: “I am feeling excited, pumped and it is only two days out now.
“I just can’t wait to get in there, share the ring with Fabio and give the fight fans a good fight and the people of Ipswich, so let’s go.”
The talking is over so it is only a matter of time before these two warriors trade in an unmissable fight.
