Mike Perry has been left frustrated after Eddie Alvarez only lasted two rounds in their bare knuckle boxing match. The new ‘King of violence’ is now looking to Anthony Pettis to satisfy his violent urges.

The ex UFC star Mike Perry has certainly made a name for himself after leaving the organisation. A switch to bare knuckle boxing is probably the best career decision he has ever made as Perry is sitting with a perfect 4-0 record and has become one of the biggest stars in the sport. This new found fame in the sport led to a clash with another UFC legend. Eddie Alvarez joined the BKFC on the 1st of March 2023 and won his debut fight against Chad Mendes by split decision in April. Sadly no win streak could be established as Mike Perry seemingly broke Eddie Alvarez’s orbital bone at the start of the fight causing immense swelling which caused the corner stoppage.

Mike Perry Speaks on Eddie Alvarez Fight

While it was an impressive performance by Perry, it left him annoyed that Alvarez didn’t last longer. Perry had this to say about the fight at the BKFC post fight conference. ‘I had fun with Eddie but it happened exactly how I said it was going to happen. I posted that Kimbo Slice picture of that backyard fight. What did he say? He said, You’ve got to hit me come on! I wanted to hit me once. He hit me and then I started moving and he stopped hitting me.’

‘By the end of the second, what happened? He got busted up worse than I did. I know I may have got a little busted up but I smiled at him when he did it. I had fun in there. That’s exactly what the ‘King of violence’ is.

When asked if he respected Alvarez after the fight, Mike Perry had this to say; ‘Yes and no. Because it was still another second-round victory. There was three more rounds in regulation and not to mention the sudden death. I want somebody just like me, who can meet me in the middle for five two minute rounds. I want a fight that is going to give me those five f*****g rounds of hell. It’s easy to talk but I just did it and I was just warming up. Four minutes, I was just getting started. There was six more minutes of hell I had to bring out. I was ready, I was just getting going.

Anthony Pettis up Next?

Mike Perry brings a lot of attention to his fights. This allows him to have an influence on who he fights. It also means that everyone wants to fight him to earn that payday. After his fight with Eddie Alvarez, many fighters expressed their desire to fight him. Mike Perry wishes that Conor McGregor would be his next fight but that is extremely improbable. Perry had this to say about his next fight

‘I think that whoever the company wants to match me up with needs to have a certain amount of followers. A certain of hits on social media, on the internet, that is going to to get people to tune in. It cant be just one sided. It can’t just be me selling the hell out of it, it has to be a two sided affair. I’m in the position I’m in because I’ve been to places that you guys have not. I do respect you guys but because you do have the experience here and lets not forget, my first bare knuckle fight was against the very experienced Julian Lane. Yeah it was a good fight and it taught me a lot, but I have moved beyond and past.’

Mike Perry continued, ‘One name that didn’t come to mind before I fought Alvarez was Anthony Pettis. I think that’s an amazing fight. He just beat Roy Jones Jr in a boxing match. I think he’s intrigued by the bare knuckle aspect . I know there’s huge opportunities. We’re creating some even. I said I want Anthony Pettis because he said he wants it and he’s ‘Mr Showtime’. And he’s flashy. But I also want a fight that isn’t going to quit.’
