Mike Perry Calls Out Darren Till to Fight in BKFC
Perry was able to clinch a knockout victory over Thiago Alves last Saturday evening. This victory came after only 60 seconds in the main event of BKFC KnuckleMania 4. Mike Perry is known as the face of BKFC and post-fight he cut an angry promo. Mike Perry called out Darren Till for a fight in the bare-knuckle ring. Darren Till and Mike Perry have a long history that dates back to their days in the UFC. Mike Perry now wants to stop all the talking and wants to just settle it by fighting. Perry explained this at the post fight press conference when he said;
“I think that’s a fight that a lot of people have wanted for a long time, including me and him,”
“And he’s talking big sh*t, he’s talking his sh*t but he ain’t doing nothing. I’m talking sh*t and I’m out here doing it. So get your ass — he’s saying he’s in the gym, or whatever, and he’s working with Khamzat [Chimaev], and he’s undefeated, but he’s over in the MMA world chasing that gold.”
“But I’m better than gold. I am the gold over here, I’m above it, I’m ‘Platinum.’”
Biggest Fear Is Leaving the Fans Dissatisfied
Since leaving the UFC back in 2021, Mike Perry has found incredible success within BKFC. This is due to Mike Perry achieving victories in all 5 of his promotional appearances. He has been able to go out and get victories over Michael Page, Luke Rockhold, and Eddie Alvarez. Mike Perry doesn’t fear much when he steps into the cage. However, he has admitted his biggest worry is leaving the fans who have paid to watch him dissatisfied. He talked about this when he revealed;
“Today I went down to the lobby and I realized all these people were here to support us fighters and this event, and they wanted a good show and entertainment,” Perry explained. “The nerves that I felt, you know, I just started smiling and being nice because these people spent their hard-earned money and they come out and want to be entertained.
“I did an interview before all this and I was like, ‘That’s one thing that the fear comes from … I just want to make sure that I’m putting on a show and I perform before I ever quit, or give up.’ And sometimes beforehand, you’re like, ‘Sh*t, man, all I want to do is, like, trip and fall and have to be taken to the hospital so I don’t have to get in the ring.’ But I love that feeling because I fight it every time, and I get in there, and I never not get in there. I always get in there, and I always do my thing.”
Darren Till Has Taunted Mike Perry
Less than 24 hours after his knockout victory, Perry went over to social media and shared voice messages from Till. These voice messages were from Darren Till taunting him in the past. Perry is interested in settling the score inside a BKFC Ring however, it remains to be seen what will happen. When talking about these voice messages Mike Perry stated;
“I have a reason why I called out Darren Till, he sits over there talking unforgivable shit,” Perry wrote on Instagram. “It’s a fight that has needed to happen, all these people talk trash and don’t last long in the ring with me period, I fought at 185, light heavy in boxing class, so if they want to offer me the BKFC title cuz none of the champions move the needle.
“I’ll fight for the 185 [pound] BKFC title against a champion who has respectable morals. Train to slaughter! Stop playing with me!”
