UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC Middleweight champion Michael Bisping has given his opinion on who should be Paddy Pimblett’s next opponent. Speaking of his fellow Brit, who looks to follow in his footsteps and become a champion. The Count has shared his thoughts via his YouTube channel.
Paddy has gone 4-0 in the UFC since his debut back in 2021. Finishing his first three fights, both his in and out-of-cage antics saw his following grow exponentially. Making him one of the company’s biggest names. He’s most recently coming off the back of a controversial decision victory over Jared Gordon at UFC 282.
Many fans have called for the baddy to return on the upcoming UFC 286 card in London. However, Michael, and Paddy himself believe the Scouse star is too big a name for the venue.
Michael said, “I would say Paddy Pimblett, even though he’s too big for the O2 Arena now, he’s too big.”
He continued to give a name he’d like to see as Paddy Pimblett’s next opponent. “I would like to see Paddy versus, you know what, I love that Ilia Topuria fight, even though Topuria now fights at 145. They’ve got backstory, they’ve got beef, they’ve got sh*t, you know, so that will be a good one.”

A well-documented rivalry with Ilia Topuria has come to light in recent years. Starting at UFC London last year, when the two met backstage. Ilia was disgruntled by comments made by Paddy on Twitter and wanted to discuss the matter face-to-face. A brief scuffle ensued and words were exchanged.
The rivalry would continue online but died down until the two would once again share the same card. UFC 282, would see the two clash again. Each scheduled for a main card bout, the two men would share the stage at the press conference. Tempers would flare and the pair would trade verbals before almost getting physical.
With both men winning their fights on the night. Questions began to be asked if they would fight next. Ilia was keen for the fight, however, Paddy was not as much, claiming he was onto bigger and better things.
