Former UFC Featherweight title contender Megan Anderson has commented on Sean Strickland’s recent outburst in Toronto.
The brash American is always creating headlines whenever he has a microphone in his face, therefore fans and media were locked into media day for UFC 297 in the build up for his first defence of his middleweight belt.
Megan Anderson Sends Advice to UFC
Sean Strickland has always had controversial opinions and things to say, he has insulted the majority of people across the globe in one way or another. He went after a Canadian journalist in a vicious rant, after a question was posed regarding a previous unsavoury tweet about LGBTQ+ and trans communities. The quotes from Strickland’s rant are full of expletives as you would expect. He began to berate the reporter as soon as he mentioned Toronto’s large LGBTQ+ community.
Strickland began with, “Let me ask you something, are you gay? Look me in your eyes, are you gay? Are you a gay man? If you had a son and he was like, he was gay, you don’t want a grandkid?”
The reporter stated he had no issue with it and the explicit rant below followed.
“You are a weak f*****g man, dude. You’re part of the f****** problem, you elected Justin Trudeau. When he seized the bank accounts like you’re just f*****g pathetic. The fact that you have no f*****g back bone as he shut down your f*****g country and seized bank accounts. You ask me some stupid shit like that. Go f**k yourself, move the f*k* on, man. The former contender reposted her response on X giving her comments on the interaction,
Can fans continue to get behind Strickland no matter the comments he makes on a regular basis and is the sport slowly heading towards quite a dark and divisive place after being so welcoming for many years? The war of words and cage side brawling between himself and Dricus Du Plessis has appeared to be quashed but we cannot be sure if the volatile comments resurface in the coming days.
