Maycee Barber admits to messaging Dana White during her recent run in with a “crazy lady” in a parking lot.
Barber has been in the headlines in recent weeks, not for her fighting ability but for her incident in a parking lot.
The UFC star had to refrain from getting physical after a “crazy women” came up to her and started threatening her as seen in the video below.
Maycee Barber Thought She May Be Going to Jail
She explained to MMA NEWS that she was already considering how to explain this to boss and UFC CEO Dana white:
“Dude, crazy lady that is drunk, I’m like one swing, I’m like ‘I know Demi could take her’ but I’m like ‘Uh-uh’ like don’t touch my people, right?
I just wanted her to swing on Demi, I’m like- I was getting ready, I’m like ‘I’m gonna have to call Dana and explain to him why I’m going to jail because I had to lay this lady out.’ I literally have a text thread with Dana telling him that. I’m like ‘Dude, I thought I was gonna have to call you tonight and be like hey, come help me out, I need to get out of jail.’”
I had my phone out recording, I’m cracking up because I think it’s hilarious,” Barber said. “This lady’s like ‘If you touch me, I’ll bust your face.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, you don’t want to touch her, don’t touch her.’ And then she’s like ‘I’ll beat both your mother-effing a**es’ and I was like ‘Oh hell no.'”
Barber is 14-2 in MMA and has dreams of becoming a world champion, most recently defeating Katlyn Chookagian on UFC 299.
Considering her career prospects she showed real constraint and penitence in this altercation, saving herself some awkward conversations with Dana White and co.
