Matchroom boxing have announced two massive shows as part of there massive UK boxing schedule for 2025.
Boxing in the UK has had a stellar start to the year of 2025 and the shows are coming thick and fast.
Queensbury have recently announced the shows they will open their Dazn partnership with the likes of Josh Taylor, Joe Joyce and Laurence Okolie.
But Matchroom have hit back by announcing two UK shows to say there still on Dazn and firing.
The first show announced is the return of Dalton Smith who will now fight in Sheffield on April 19th.
The WBC mandatory has decided to take a fight in between his mandatory title opportunity to ensure he stays fit and ready.
His opponent will Mathieu Germain 26-2-1, Germain has never fought outside of his native Canada and will be looking to make his foreign debut with a splash against Smith.
“I’ve been waiting for this call for a long time”
But Smith is looking to make a statement to Alberto Puello (his WBC mandatory title holder).
“I’ll prove why I’m the mandatory for the WBC World Title on April 19”

Smith Vs Germain Announce Undercard-
The co-main event features a return for Ishmael Davies after his late notices losses to Josh Kelly and Serhii Bohachuk.
He will take on another Kelly but this time it will be Ryan Kelly in a British Super Welterweight title.
The undercard comes with many surprises and delights including the return of Josh Warrington.
Warrington hasn’t seen the inside of the ring since his loss to Anthony Cacace last year on the Joshua Dubois undercard.
It was unlikely Warrington was going to return to the ring at all as after the loss he had placed his gloves in the ring as a sign of retirement.
But the Leeds warrior will return taking his faithful fans on a short trip to Sheffield.
The other undercard sees newly Matchroom signed Josh Padley take the stage with his opponent unknown.
Prospect Georgio Visioli will take on Kane Baker in his next step up the professional ranks.
Emmanuel Buttigieg will also feature on the card.
Matchroom Finally Gets The Big Rematch-
The other main event announced was a much anticipated rematch.
Johnny Fisher will rematch against Dave Allen following on form there controversial first bout in Saudi Arabia.
Fisher has been calling of the rematch saying he wants to prove himself as the better of the two.
Allen has been doing the exact same claiming he will show the levels when he takes on Johnny Fisher once again.
“I don’t think 4/5 months is big enough to bridge the gap to me”
The two have made this fight a lot more heated this time with the respect starting to wain from Fisher.
“We’ve seen before Dave go back to the corner and quit”
This fight is scheduled for May 17th at the Copper Box Arena.
The Copper Box has been a favourite for Fisher and his loyal fans even being livingly nicknamed the CopperBosh by some of his faithful.
