An elite prospect is set to compete on Doncaster based promotion, Caged Steel. His name is Mark Ewen. Firstly, there’ll be plenty of excitement around this announcement for those of you who know about Mark. Secondly, for those who don’t, here’s an introduction to the Scotsman.

Mark Ewen

Fighting out of Higher Level Martial Arts As a lightweight, he is currently training with some of Scotland’s top MMA stars. As an amateur Ewen racked up an extremely impressive 11-3-1 record. All 11 of Mark’s wins came via finishes, with six KO/TKO’s and five submissions. Ewen, last tasting defeat back in 2017, has since gone on an impressive nine-fight unbeaten run before turning pro. This soaring form saw Mark gain the No. 1 ranking as an amateur in the whole of the UK and Ireland. Furthermore, he was also a titleholder.

Now a professional, Mark has started his pro career where he left off his amateur one. Winning. 2-0 with two KO’s to match. Ewen has shown why he was ranked at the top and looks to replicate his championship success on the professional scene. His last outing took place last September when he competed at Almighty Fighting Championship 20. In this fight, he took on another hot prospect in Tom Mullen. He won the fight in the second round via KO with an elbow against the cage to ground and pound. In other words, he’s the real deal.

As exciting a prospect as they come. Certainly, now fans of UK MMA have a new name to be raving about and he is Mark Ewen. With UK talent in a purple patch and many top stars being high up in all the top promotions, this could be the start of something special, with Ewen still set to compete on Combate Global towards the end of the year. Make sure you get on the hype early before you blink and you miss it. In conclusion, it’s only a matter of time before Ewen is fighting the very best lightweights on the planet.

Caged Steel

Signing for Caged Steel, this promotion primarily hosts events out of Sheffield and Doncaster. Hosting some of the most exciting events on the regional scene, make sure you check them out. In addition, there are plenty of future talents on the books and a hotbed of potential superstars who have made Caged Steel their home. Next up for the organisation is Caged Steel 29, taking place Saturday, June 25th. Mark Ewen will most likely make his promotional debut here. Tickets are now available to buy from their website, and if you’re in the area, it’s a no-brainer.

How far will Mark Ewen go in his career?
