Cage Warriors 183 Has been announced by Cage Warriors on their social media taking place in Rome on March 8th. Following the announcement of the date and location Cage Warriors have started revealing fights. Headlining the card will be Cage Warriors bantamweight champion Liam Gittins defending his belt.
Gittins vs Giordano
The major announcement they made for the card is the main event Liam Gittins vs Alessandro Giordano. Gittins is the current bantamweight champion at Cage Warriors winning the vacant belt in 2023 against Reece McEwan. He then successfully defended his new belt once in 2024 against Roberto Hernandez with a 5th-round submission. Gittins was scheduled to fight again in 2024 against Shirzad Qadrian however had to pull out due to an injury. Gittins currently has a record of 13-4 with over 50% of his wins coming by KO.
However now seemingly healthy Gittins will now be defending his title in March. His opponent Alessandro Giordano is a rising Italian contender who has amassed a record of 9-3. Giordano debuted with the promotion back in 2022 but would lose his first 2 fights in the promotion. He lost to Nathan Fletcher and Enrico Di Gangi both by decision. Following this he would not fight in 2023 at all but came back in 2024 with a vengeance. He would secure 3 wins in 2024 one by KO and another by Submission.
This looks to be a challenge for Hitchins and we shall see how he does against this rising contender. Following this announcement a few other fights have been added to this card. 2 lightweight bouts have been officially been confirmed for the card. Hazan vs Lupoli was added as well as Pagani vs Ntelis. As we get closer to the fight date more fights will be announced.
