July 8th sees the return of one of UK’s biggest prospects Lewis McGrillen at PFL Europe 2.

Last time we saw McGrillen was back in March on route to dismantling Salih Kulucan in Newcastle for PFL Europe 1.

McGrillen has received some huge plaudits from UK royalty and PFL Europe director of fighter operations Dan Hardy.

Dan Hardy, Director of Fighter Operations of PFL Europe: “We are very excited to bring Lewis McGrillen into the PFL Europe family and watch him develop into the star that his trajectory predicts.

There has been a lot of buzz around him since his amateur days, and after his break out performance in Newcastle, we can see why.

“He is a young, powerful, and confident fighter, undefeated and right at the beginning of his promising journey.

There is no doubt that his presence on any PFL Europe event will bring an intensity and excitement that will follow McGrillen throughout his career.”

We caught up with McGrillen ahead of his bout where he let us into his mindset leading into PFL Europe 2.

Lewis McGrillen Interview

Good day Lewis, you have a huge fight coming up at PFL Europe 2, on July 8th against Amrali Saydoshurov, how has camp been in preparation for this event?

“This camp has been a massive push. Absolutely pushing my self everyday. Training two/three times a day.”

You made your PFL Europe debut back in March and made short work of your opponent, did you get much chance to saviour the experience or what’s it all business for you?

“Yeah I like to think I did. It was an amazing experience and the fight was fun aswell, as it is always business.”

You come into this fight undefeated at 7-0 as one of the biggest prospect coming out of the UK, how do you deal with the pressure of such a high praise being put your way by the likes of Dan Hardy?

“The” pressure” is a word end of the day, and I don’t care. I’m just me being me if they like to think I’ve got pressure then so be it, I’m a young lad in the game just doing my thing.”

When did you find out you was on PFL Europe?

“I found out I’d be fighting again for PFL Europe as soon as the last PFL fight was over, I was already planning ahead.”

What can we expect from you July 8th?

“You can expect pure violence as usual from me on July 8th, it’s a war zone where ever I go and he better be prepared for that.”

Can you give us your prediction for PFL Europe 2?

“My prediction for this fight. He’s panicking looking to dive onto my legs and hold on for life and it’s only going to get him into trouble.”

Do you have a message for Amrali Saydoshurov?

“Yes. Amrali you and your little cronies pony mindset and pony talk is nothing, and pure macca you’ll see the definition of that be careful what you wish for.”
