Josh Kelly returns this Friday taking on Romanian Falvius Biea on Wasserman’s free to air channel 5 stream.
The pretty boy returns for the first time in almost a year after beating Ishmael Davies on the undercard of Joshua Vs Dubois at Wembley.
Kelly is looking to make a world title run next year and will need to come through against Flavius Biea in his home town of Newcastle.
The Newcastle man has struggled with inactivity and staying on a consistent path leading to his lack of world title opportunities.
Despite beating the unbeaten Troy Williamson and the tough Ishmael Davies he has failed to return to the level since losing to David Avanesyan.
Josh Kelly Has Big Dream Fights-
Kelly has big dreams of world title aspirations for next year but also has his sights on big fights with Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn.
“I don’t think Eubank would go anywhere near me. I think I’ve got more of a chance getting the Conor Benn fight. If he can’t make 147 anymore, or struggles to get down there, I’m the biggest guy at 154.”
“Conor’s a very clever fighter in terms of marketing. I should take a leaf out of his book and I should start shouting everybody out. I should just say, ‘I’m only fighting the ones who are going to make me the most money’.”
His opponent Flavius Biea has a 24-1-0 fighting majority out of his home country Romania but has had some experience in Germany, Hungary, Canada and a single fight in the UK at York Hall vs famous toughen Burman Sanchez.
Kelly wont necessarily make any headlines by beating Biea but it will place him one step closer to getting back to constant boxing leading to potential title fights.
The fight card will be streamed live on free to air tv on Channel 5 with Ishmael Davies, Felix Cash and Tom Welland both returning for the undercard.
