Jaron Ennis has claimed he wants he wants a performance a kin to what Floyd Mayweather and Aturo Gatti produced.
The American Welterweight is determined to become a 3 belt champion on Saturday night.
Ennis will take on Eimantas Stanionis for the WBA, IBF and Ring Magazine Welterweight titles.
Boots has been confident ahead of the bout claiming he wants to put a performance that ensures he is number 1 in the Welterweight division.
“I’m ready to show I’m the best in the world”
Ennis is looking to define his Welterweight career as he has claimed that a move up to Super Welterweight is imminent.
But he has business to attend to at Welterweight before any chance of a move up.
Stanionis is a elite fighter and arguably in the top 2 Welterweights in the world and will have a chance to prove this at the weekend.
The Lithuanian has taken his chance with both hands saying his training camp has been brutal.
“This has been the most brutal camp of my life”
Ennis and his trainers have been just as prepared for Stanionis even saying that they’ve been hunting for him for years.
“We’ve been asking for Stanionis for ages. For Crawford. For Thurman and For Spence. No one wanted to fight @JaronEnnis“
The performance from Ennis needs to be brilliant after talking on how some of the greats inspired him.
Ennis specifically has been returning to the Gatti Mayweather bout which has been a favourite of his.
“One of my favourite fights to watch was Mayweather-Gatti and I want to put on a historic performance like that”
Jaron Ennis and Eimantas Stanionis Face Off-
The face offs between the two was cold as ever, neither broke a sweat nor moved a flinch.
The undercard is stacked with some talent including Raymond Ford who is taking on Thomas Mattice.
Ford has been highly rated by Eddie Hearn and his Matchroom team.
So much so that they are looking to make a major fight with himself and Sugar Nunez which Eddie Hearn has claimed will be the best in the division.
Ennis and Ford are back in action Saturday 12th April in Boardwalk Hall, New Jersey.
