Jaron Ennis will take on Eimantas Stanionis this weekend in Atlantic City for the WBA, Ring Magazine and IBF Welterweight titles.
The card includes many USA stars including super featherweight star Raymond Ford, budding professional Omari Jones and prospect Zaquin Moses.
The two consensus top Welterweights in the world face off in what promises to be a firefight in Boardwalk Hall Saturday night.
Jaron Ennis looks to become a double champion after ripping through previous opponents with a 87% finish rate. Ennis has beaten many credible opponents including
David Avanesyan via 5th round stoppage and two unanimous decisions against the only man to go 12 rounds with Ennis, Karen Chukhadzhian. Ennis has been very open about his intentions on moving up to Junior Middleweight but potential unification fights at Welterweight could tempt him to say. Either way Ennis will be looking to make a statement by beating one of the scariest in the division.
Eimantas Stanionis on the other hand is looking to take his in ring skills and match a commercial presence. Stanionis has been feared around the Welterweight division for a long time no and will aim to take Ennis down and create a massive name for himself. Eimantas Stanionis is 15-0 with 9 KO’s including victories over Gabriel Maestre on the Canelo Munguia undercard and taking Radzhab Butaev’s unbeaten record.
The two will face off for multiple honours including the Ring Magazine, WBA and IBF Welterweight titles as both will come together in a packed out Boardwalk Hall.

Jaron Ennis Defeats Eimantas Stanionis Via Corner Stoppage
Ennis puts on a masterclass both defensively and offensively to beat down Eimantas Stanionis who has his corner throw in the towel at the end of the 6th round.
Jaron Ennis claimed he wanted to put a ‘Mayweather’ like performance and dare I say he has done that here tonight.
Boots is now WBA, Ring Magazine and IBF Welterweight champion of the world and has proven he is the best in the division right now.
Round 6-
Stanionis hits the canvas after some brutal body shots but is saved by the bell, Stanionis’s nose is pouring blood.
Boots changing up his stance to southpaw and looking just as effective putting his combinations together well.
Round 5-
Stanionis having a much better round catching Boots with a few power hooks. Ennis is showing a great defensive display dodging well and consistently.
Round 4-
Ennis starting to find his flow and confidence really throwing shots with power and finesse. Stanionis finding some success in short bursts and single shots. A small cut has appeared under the eye of Stanionis.
Round 3-
Ennis briefly down but called a no knockdown by the referee. The left hook seems key for Stanionis and his success on the other hand Ennis’s hand speed and footwork is key for Boots.
Round 2-
Stanionis catches Boots with a big left hook but Boots comes back with a great counter body shot. Both come out to fight tonight and neither hiding from the other.
Round 1-
Ennis comes out firing strong shots on the back foot even finding an uppercut early on but Stanionis pressing constantly.
Ray Ford Defeats Thomas Mattice Via Unanimous Decision-
Ford shutout Mattice on the scorecards.
Ford cruises to a victory against Mattice showing a great level of confidence. The firing hooks were particularly successful for Ford who dominated every exchange but got a little impatient at times forcing some exchanges. The ex WBA world champion reacted to some boos from the crowd by attempting to force a stoppage but eventually calmed down and carried on with his dominance.
Ford will now look towards getting back to world level competition which Eddie Hearn has suggested Sugar Nunez as a future opponent.
Omari Jones Defeats William Jackson Via 1st round KO-
Omari Jones lights up Boardwalk hall with a brutal KO victory in just his second professional fight.
Jones finished William Jackson in the 1st round with a punch perfect body shot right in the solar plexus.
Shakram Giyasov Defeats Franco Maximiliano Ocampo Via Body Shot TKO
Giyasov knocks down Ocampo with a thunderous left hook counter. Ocampo went to his corner stunned and was saved by the bell.
The Uzbek man used his lead left hook to the body well catching Ocampo with some major shots even blooding the nose of Ocampo.
The fourth and final round saw Giyasov win via body shot TKO. The shots to the body paid dividends for the Uzbek eventually winning the fight with a right backhand shot straight to the stomach of Ocampo.
Giyasov is a mandatory for tonight’s winner via the WBA Welterweight title.
Undercard Results-
Zaquin Moses defeats Alex Pallete via 2nd round TKO. Moses put on a sharp performance dropping Pallete with a massive straight left down the pipe and the referee called it off after counting to 7.
Thamir Smalls smashes Bascome within the first half of the very first round, massive KO win.
Arturo Cardenas defeats Cortes with a last round knockout.
Francisco Rodriguez moves to 7-0 after Naheem Parker was pulled out from his corner at the end of the third round.
