Jaron Ennis will take on Eimantas Stanionis this weekend in Atlantic City for the WBA, Ring Magazine and IBF Welterweight titles.
The card includes many USA stars including super featherweight star Raymond Ford, budding professional Omari Jones and prospect Zaquin Moses.
The two consensus top Welterweights in the world face off in what promises to be a firefight in Boardwalk Hall Saturday night.
Jaron Ennis looks to become a double champion after ripping through previous opponents with a 87% finish rate. Ennis has beaten many credible opponents including
David Avanesyan via 5th round stoppage and two unanimous decisions against the only many to go 12 rounds with Ennis, Karen Chukhadzhian. Ennis has been very open about his intentions on moving up to Junior Middleweight but potential unification fights at Welterweight could tempt him to say. Either way Ennis will be looking to make a statement by beating one of the scariest in the division.
Eimantas Stanionis on the other hand is looking to take his in ring skills and match a commercial presence. Stanionis has been feared around the Welterweight division for a long time no and will aim to take Ennis down and create a massive name for himself. Eimantas Stanionis is 15-0 with 9 KO’s including victories over Gabriel Maestre on the Canelo Munguia undercard and taking Radzhab Butaev’s unbeaten record.
The two will face off for multiple honours including the Ring Magazine, WBA and IBF Welterweight titles as both will come together in a packed out Boardwalk Hall.
