Jake Paul has announced his next fight in his professional boxing career and its a ex Canelo Alvarez opponent.
Paul has announced that he is taking on 39 year old Julio Cesar Chavez Jr who has a record of 54-6-1.
The controversial American has his next fight announced and ready after beating Mike Tyson in his last bout.
Last bout with Mike Tyson was commercially received really well with Netflix backing the project and the viewership was record breaking.
Paul has been under the spotlight and was in negotiations for a bout with Canelo Alvarez.
Now Paulhas the opportunity to take on a previous opponent of Canelo.
Chavez Jr has had a storied career in boxing fighting the likes of Canelo, Andy Lee and Sergio Martinez.
Jr hasn’t fought since 2024 when he took on ex UFC fighter Uriah Hall which he won via Unanimous Decision.
Since 2020 Chavez Jr hasn’t fought at the same level of boxing as his career has previously shown taking fights against Hall, Anderson Silva and David Zegarra.
He even lost to Anderson Silva who Jake Paul has beaten before.

On Saturday, June 28, live on DAZN pay-per-view, I will defeat Julio and make Chávez Sr. proud in ways Jr. never has. Viva La Puerto Rico.
The card will be co promoted by MVP, Jake Pauls promotion company, and Golden Boy.
The Paul vs Chavez Jr bout will main event with a unified world championship bout being on the undercard.
Zurdo Ramirez will be taking on Yuniel Dorticos for the WBA and WBO Cruiserweight championships.
Ramirez comes off the back of beating Chris Billam Smith to become unified world champion in a hard fought win.
Dorticos is 27-2-0 only losing to Maris Briedis and Murat Gassiev.
Dorticos is on a 3 fight win streak backed up by 3 KO’s which haven’t seen the 3rd round.
