Almighty FC 30 is set to take place on Saturday, 27th May 2023, in Barnsley, England, at the Metrodome. The event consists of professional and amateur mixed martial arts action. A stacked prelim sees a highly-rated amateur Bantamweight bout between Hamza Sajjid and Lewis Mackenzie.

Sajjid (1-0-1) comes into the bout on the back of a majority draw against Jack Atherton at Budo Fighting Championship 54 in February.

His opponent Mackenzie (2-2-1) comes in on the back of an impressive 2nd round rear naked choke victory over Joe Delaney at Almighty FC 28 back in November 2022.

In the lead up to this exciting bout, we caught up with Sajjid here’s what he had to say on his upcoming fight.

Interview With Hamza Sajjid

Good day Hamza, how’s training camp been for this fight?

“It’s been good mate, worked hard during this camp as always and ready to put a show on.”

How much do you know about your opponent coming into this fight?

“I know he’s a good grappler and fights well of his back so I’m gonna try keeping it standing up. “

How do you feel your fight style matches up against Mackenzie?

“Well I like to strike, but in my last fights my coach told me to take the fight down to the ground, so I did but looking forward to keep the fight stooding up.”

Give us your prediction for the fight?

“My prediction for the fight is a 2nd round KO, but its the fight game so u never know what Will happen.”

What’s your plans going forward after May 27th?

“After this fight I want to fight for a title so I have belt under my name.”

Make sure you don’t miss Almighty FC 30, in what is a stacked card of UK MMA.
