Another day and another great fight announcement for GTFP 19. This card is truly shaping up to be one of the best cards in the history of the UK regional MMA scene. Golden Ticket is showing no signs of slowing down, with yet another banger being added to the undercard of their June show. Melissa Dixon and Mafalda Carmona will headline the card. However, the prelims are just as likely to steal the show.
We now have a further bout for fans to enjoy, and what a fight it could be. Golden Ticket has just confirmed Riley Daniels vs Will Lister, and there are sure to be a lot of eyes on this one. The highly touted Riley Daniels has quite the buzz around him and has the potential to do big things in the sport. His opponent, Will Lister, is making his amateur MMA debut. He certainly will be looking to make a name for himself by dispatching the Roughhouse MMA prospect.
Riley Daniels vs Will Lister
Daniels, fighting out of Roughhouse MMA under the tutorage of Dan Hardy and Jimmy Wallhead, has an unusual amount of eyes on him for someone who is 1-1. The truth is, the potential is huge with Riley. Last time out, at GTFP 18, Daniels fell to a close decision loss against Ben Goldsborough. Since then, the grappling prospect has competed in Intergrapple, a no-gi grappling tournament. Riley was able to pull off a slick D’arce choke, looking very impressive. He will be looking to improve his record to 2-1 and put on an impressive display come June.
Standing across from him will be a man making his MMA debut, Will Lister. Fighting out of Empire MMA, the featherweight has a well-rounded game. He will look to bring the fight to his opponent and put the pressure on early. Lister has the opportunity to grab a win against a top prospect, a win that would put the name Will Lister in the mouths of those on the regional scene. Current GTFP amateur lightweight champion Alex Gill is a training partner of the Welshman. This may help him prepare for the fight under the Golden Ticket banner.
This is going to be a fantastic card. We cannot wait for GTFP 19.
