George Hardwick makes his return to the yellow gloves where he will defend his lightweight championship against Lucas Clay at Cage Warriors 169.

Hardwick will return at Cage Warriors 169 after an appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series last August. Unsuccessful in his quest for UFC glory. Hardwick hopes he can continue his winning run at Cage Warriors 169. Where he is currently on a six-fight streak inside the promotion with a 12-2 record overall.

The Man taking on Hardwick at Cage Warriors 169 will be Lucas Clay. Looking to dethrone the reigning champion, Clay makes his promotional debut in London. With a record of 10-3, the American comes into the bout with a lot of solid experience under his belt. Most notably competing in the LFA where he fought five times.

For those of you familiar with the champion, you’ll know how dangerous the man from Middleborough is on the feet. Winning his last six by finish, three via trademark body shots. Hardwick looks to remind everyone just how good he is when he headlines Cage Warriors 169.

Already holding victories over other tough competition in the Cage Warriors’ deep lightweight division. Hardwick has wins over Chris Bungard, Yann Liasse and Kyle Driscoll where he claimed 155lb gold.

Walking into Cage Warriors 169 to take on Hardwick, is the newcomer Lucas ‘Cassius’ Clay. Looking to introduce himself to the UK crowd in a big way. Clay has finished his last three victories. Of his ten career wins, he has stopped half of them, four coming by way of submission.

Returning to lightweight after his last bout at welterweight. Clay has been given a huge opportunity to headline the Cage Warriors 169 bill against fan-favourite Hardwick.
