Eddie Hearn Reveals the Best Heavyweight Fight He’s ‘Ever Seen’

LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 10: Promoter Eddie Hearn speaks to the media during a press conference at Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel on June 10, 2022 in London, England. In a recent interview, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn revealed the best heavyweight he’s ever seen.

Over the recent years, we have been blessed with so many heavyweight scraps that will go down as jaw-dropping bouts.

We’ve had the joy of watching Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder III.

However, Hearn has said the two fights between Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora were the ‘best heavyweight fights’ he has ever seen.

Recently, Hearn has made Chisora vs Kubrat Pulev. Should Chisora get through Pulev, he has his eyes on a trilogy fight between Whyte and Chisora.

Eddie Hearn Reveals the Best Heavyweight Fight He’s ‘Ever Seen’

Speaking to talkSPORT, Hearn said: “I always talk about the Deontay Wilder fight and people call me out for that.

“But at the end of the day, Wilder’s going to fight somebody and if Chisora beats Pulev, what are you going to say then?

“All of a sudden you start talking about him in fights with Joe Joyce, Daniel Dubois, see what happens with AJ and Usyk.

“Dillian Whyte 3, that’s not a fight I’m looking at, at the moment but all of a sudden if he beats Pulev, Dillian is coming off a defeat to Tyson Fury, why not do number three?

“The two fights were two of the best heavyweight fights I’ve ever seen, so number three would also be a cracker.

“But it’s all about beating Pulev and I think for both guys it’s win or retire,” Hearn said.

Chisora is currently riding a three-fight losing streak following his two defeats to Joseph Parker and Oleksandr Usyk.

With that being said, a win against Pulev could kickstart another great run at heavyweight, Hearn believes.

It’s Now or Never for Derek Chisora

“I was thinking the other day actually, I think Chisora should try and go through a lot of his defeats and right the wrongs,” Hearn explained.

“Because actually, he’s a much better fighter now than he was then. He feels like he beat Pulev anyway, but Helenius he was robbed against.

“He could even fight Dillian Whyte again in a third fight which two of those were brilliant.

“Agit Kabayel, he should never have lost that fight. Fights against Fury, Usyk and Haye at the time, we kind of get.”

‘Del Boy’ will be looking to avenge his defeat to Pulev when the pair fight again in July.
