On Tuesday night just four days before the two are set to square off at UFC 305, Adesanya posted this picture to X:
The picture led to a string of hilarious (and ridiculous) replies from fans and fighters alike.
DDP Responds to Adesanya’s Tweet
In an interview with Full Send MMA, du Plessis was shown the tweet and had an interesting reply himself:
“Oh wow, okay, well ‘Woof, woof’. What a weird thing to do! I’ll just ask him ‘What’s that out?’. Was he talking about size? Take it as you may.”

Dricus seemed to handle the trash talk well and even got a laugh out of the meme. Look for the tweet to be something that du Plessis will look to bring up at the UFC 305 Press Conference.
Despite all the talk in the lead-up, all that matters is what happens in the cage. Dricus du Plessis looks to defend his middleweight championship this weekend in hostile territory when he faces Israel Adesanya in Perth, Australia. Both men look to solidify themselves in middleweight history with a win and finish the chapter they started over a year ago.
