Goliath Fight Series 6 in Fife is closing up David Winiarski is preparing for his upcoming title bout against Dan O-Sullivan. In an exclusive interview, Winiarski shares his thoughts on his successful 2023, his determination for victory, and his aspirations for the future.
“2023, what a year!! two fights two knockouts what more could I ask for,” Winiarski reflects on his achievements in the past year.
Recalling his last fight, a brutal knockout victory over Geoff Pavey, Winiarski expresses his satisfaction in silencing his opponent: “I was determined not to lose to that man after giving him high praise in an interview due to my debut being a closely contested war but after his smart remarks and smart a**e remarks I stepped it up a gear and made it my mission to shut up big journeyman Geoff for good,” he states.

Looking ahead to his title fight against O-Sullivan, Winiarski anticipates a tough battle: “I see this guy shooting for his life he’s a high-level jits guy so the minute he feel this power and want to take it to the ground so this camp I’ve been making it my mission to be working with the best wrestlers leaving no stone unturned,” he remarks.
When asked about his strategy for keeping the belt in Scotland, Winiarski confidently asserts, “I won’t be outworked out striked or out grappled I just refuse after the countless hours I’ve put into this camp I will have my hand raised and that belt wrapped around my waist.”
Despite his focus on the upcoming fight, Winiarski reveals his plans for the future, stating, “Big plan this year is to have four maybe 5 fights this year and go pro at the end of the year maybe collect a few more belts along the way who knows.”
As for his prediction for the fight, Winiarski predicts a second-round stoppage, showing respect for his opponent’s experience while exuding confidence in his own abilities.
