After another special performance, Davey Grant is becoming one of the UFC’s most exciting fighters. After earning four bonuses in his previous four fights. Davey once again produced the goods when he and Louis Smolka went to war. Winning in the third round via KO, Grant was controversially snubbed for a post-fight bonus despite many believing his fight was the best of the night.

An Exciting Fighter

Davey Grant has cemented his place as a must-watch fighter in the UFC Bantamweight division. Always looking for the kill and never afraid to throw down, Davey has an extremely fan-friendly style. Speaking with BJPenn.com, Davey stated this is exactly what he wants.

“I’m always in entertaining fights it seems. I was trying to get the knockout early, that is always what I want to do. But, I don’t mind getting into fights like that. I want to be remembered as an exciting guy”. He continued by saying he ”Was expecting a brawl” and that he felt “Untouchable in that first round”. Before going on to say that he believes his first-round against Smolka was “The best round I’ve ever fought”.

Now pushing the tail end of his career Grant says he’s only getting better with age and is still as dangerous as ever. “I’m getting older but I still feel like I’m getting better and I know I’m getting better and better every fight”. And who can argue with him after such an electric display?

UFC London

Now back to winning ways, Davey feels relief. Never one to call anyone out, he has, however, decided on a location for his next outing, London. With the promotion returning to the English capital on July 23rd, Grant feels this is the perfect time for him to reenter the cage. Not being a part of the March 10th London card, but attending as a fan lit a fire under Grant to be part of the next one

In what seems to be a relatively fast turnaround Grant feels he is injury-free and would be able to compete come July

“We will have to wait and see what the UFC wants. I have no injuries, I’m fresh and back into the gym. Obviously, I’d love to fight in London in front of my country so I hope that is next but it’s up to the UFC. But, yeah I’d love to fight in London against whoever they give me.”

The Fight

A name many fans will now be aware of. Grant has built up his reputation as a fighter. There will be no shortage of suitors, and the matchmakers should have no problem booking “Dangerous” Davey in a fight. Looking to get into the top 15 anyone who’s on the periphery would be perfect.

Several top Bantamweight names all without fights here’s a list of potential opponents. Timur Valiev (18-3 1 NC), Raoni Barcelos (16-3), Casey Kenny (16-4-1), and Chris Gutierrez (18-3-2). Only four names, but bantamweight is stacked right now, so whoever he fights we know it will be a banger.

Who do you think Davey should fight next?
