Over the weekend, Darren Till made his boxing debut in Misfits against Anthony Taylor. The fight was at 195lbs with Till having both the size and skill advantage and Till would stop Taylor in the 6th round. Till looked fairly impressive however he was clearly way bigger than Taylor. Regardless Till’s victory here guarantees himself a few other boxing matches. Till’s talk and now this KO will have made Till very known in the Misfits influencer boxing sphere. Someone who was also aware of Till’s boxing match was his former boss Dana White.

Mr White gave his reaction in the post-fight press conference for UFC 311. White was asked about Till’s boxing match by one of the reporters. He said, “I saw that on the internet yeah I saw that. I never heard of the guy he fought but I guess he’s a tough guy and it’s a big deal that Till beat him the way he beat him.” Dana White seemed fairly happy about it but didn’t go into much depth about the fight.

The lack of depth isn’t surprising given White’s general lack of focus on boxing. And on top of that he just got done with UFC 311. However, White seemed to have no ill will towards his former employee with the split being fairly amicable.

In terms of what’s next for Till he now has plenty of options in boxing and the influencer boxing sphere. There is always the Tommy Fury fight which could be rebooked and would do numbers. There are also potential influencer fights such as against KSI and Jake Paul. Till does seem to have the skill to at least beat influencers at boxing. A fight against Mike Perry could also be intriguing given the history there. Overall, Till seems to have found a nice little niche for himself and we’ll see where he goes from here.
