Conor McGregor has voiced his backing of fellow Irish native Ian Garry after his mature performance at UFC 276.

Since the viral rise of Conor McGregor, the wave of Irish talent that has followed him has been frightening. Among them was 24-year-old Ian Garry, who hasn’t shied away from expressing McGregor’s path is one he inspired to be on. Saturday passed, Garry took one step closer to living that dream.

Since arriving in the UFC after conquering Cage Warriors, Garry has gone (3-0), defeating Jordan Williams, Darian Weeks, and now Gabe Green. The development under Henri Hooft at Sandford MMA is clear to see. The Irishman displaying his improvements and comfortability inside the Octagon.

McGregor has complimented Garry once more following his debut victory inside the UFC and doubled down following his win in Las Vegas, stating he believes Gary has all the tools to become the next Irish UFC champion.

Conor McGregor Shows Support for Ian Garry

Ian Garry was incredibly impressive this weekend. Fully immersed in it all. Enjoying every second. Willingness to engage / commit. The Potential for another “future” Irish mma ufc champion rose by a real nice margin this weekend. Congrats Ian, keep going brother! ☘️❤️
