Colby Covington Responds to MVP’s “I Want to Punch Him in His Face” Callout

Colby Covington responded to MVP’s callout at UFC London.

The former welterweight title challenger hasn’t fought since his December loss to Joaquin Buckley.

Covington dismissed the British fighter’s record and launched his infamous rant.

Colby Covington Calls MVP an “Irrelevant Bum”

Last week at the UFC London fan Q&A hosted by Michael Bisping, Michael Venom Page was asked what was next for him. The London fighter claimed he would love to punch Colby Covington in the face.

The American trash talker wasn’t prepared to let that go. Speaking to Submission Radio, Colby Covington said, “I didn’t pay attention to it. I don’t pay attention to anything he does. He’s another irrelevant bum. He was knocked out unconscious in the B leagues. You’ve never seen me laying unconscious in the UFC octagon, fighting the best fighters in the world for the last decade straight.”

Covington went on to say, “So, there’s no truth to that. He’s not a good fighter, and he beat some one-eyed, glass-eyed dude. Like, come on. There’s no honor in beating a one-eyed guy. The guy probably shouldn’t even be fighting. It’s a miracle that that guy is even in the UFC. But, no reaction. He’s just another bum that’s chirping that can easily get his ass whooped as well.”

Michael Venom Page Looks to Continue His UFC Ascent

Michael Venom Page will be looking to continue his ascent through the UFC. After suffering a loss to Ian Garry, the London fighter moved up to middleweight to fight Sharabutdin Magomedov. Despite being an underdog, the Brit overcame arguably his toughest UFC opponent.

After calling out Covington, it could see the pair clash in the Octagon. The American is coming off two losses, whilst Michael Venom Page will look to assert his dominance in the welterweight division.
