As UFC Atlantic City gets closer, Combat Sports UK’s Ben Thomas had the opportunity to speak with rising Irish star Caolan Loughran in an exclusive interview about his upcoming bout against Angel Pacheco on March 30, 2024.

Loughran discussed many topics with Ben, ranging from training to his UFC debut in enemy territory, Paris, France.

It is always interesting to get inside the mind of a fighter when they discuss training. Rising star Caolan Loughran seems to have accepted that training is his life. Acquiring and building his tools inside the gym makes Loughran a very tough prospect moving forward.

“This is the life I like to live. This is the structure – morning, night in the gym – sore on you but it’s the life.”

From the interview you can watch the passion and love Loughran has for the legendary MMA company, the UFC.

“Still the UFC has been my favorite moment of my life,” he said.

“The UFC to me is the pinnacle. Like, I wouldn’t swap fighting in the UFC for playing on the wing for Liverpool or being CEO of the biggest job in the world. A UFC fighter is literally my dream.”

Loughran went on to discuss the feeling and vibe surrounding his debut in his opponent Taylor Lapilus’ hometown.

“Come Friday I was public enemy number one in the streets of Paris.”

Caolan Loughran vs. Angel Pacheco will be an interesting match up as both men look to hold onto their spot on the UFC roster. A win propels the winners closer to the rankings.

Speaking with Loughran, he seems laser focused and ready for Angel Pacheco, so we should be in for an exciting fight.

Tune in closer to March 30, 2024 for UFC Atlantic City live from the Boardwalk Hall. Fight fans, if you enjoyed this interview head over to Combat Sports UK for more exciting interviews.

Thank you once again to Caolan Loughran for your time, and best of luck on March 30th.
