Boxing returns to its newly adopted home in Riyadh this Saturday when Canelo Alvarez returns to face William Scull.
The boxing keeps flowing with outstanding cards and fights all around, this return to Riyadh is no different with Mexican star Canelo Alvarez back in action, alongside a huge rematch with Jaime Munguia who takes on Bruno Surace, a battle of Heavyweights when Martin Bakole faces Efe Ajagba and the return of Badou Jack.
The king returns and its his first trip to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Canelo Alvarez makes his return in the ring to face William Scull for undisputed middleweight gold. Alvarez will make his Saudi debut this weekend in his 67th professional fight off the back of beating Edgar Berlanga and Jaime Munguia by UD. Canelo has been in talks with Turki Alalshikh ever since the kingdom has hosted fights, it all came to ahead when Canelo played Turki and Jake Paul against each other ending in a massive deal being struck between Canelo’s team and Turki Alalshikh. The deal includes a 3 fight contract setting up a potential fight with Terrence Crawford if he gets the win this weekend.
William Scull is the man between Canelo and Crawford currently, Scull will look to make one of the biggest upsets in the sport on Saturday night. Scull is a world champion in his own right having the IBF super middleweight title, Scull beat Vladimir Shishkin via UD to become IBF champion. Despite Scull fighting out of Cuba he has had the majority of his bouts in Germany where he currently resides. The Cuban is used to being on a card with Canelo after he beat Sean Hemphill on the Canelo Munguia undercard.

The fight was closer than expected with Scull frustrating Canelo but the Mexican pulled through to set up the mega fight.

Munguia wins via decision fairly comfortably, some massive body shots were key to his victory.
He will now look to return to world level.
Efe Ajagba Vs Martin Bakole Ends In Majority Draw
Ajagba Bakole ends in majority draw.
Bakole caught Ajagba with a few massive shots even rocking him but Bakole couldn’t finish the fight. Ajagba on the other hand fought exactly how he needed to suppress Bakole’s power.
Bakole was unfit coming into the fight and is lucky to walk away with a draw.
Ajagba fought the fight well but was unlucky with the scorecards.
Both will hopefully look for a rematch
