Boxing returns to its newly adopted home in Riyadh this Saturday when Canelo Alvarez returns to face William Scull.
The boxing keeps flowing with outstanding cards and fights all around, this return to Riyadh is no different with Mexican star Canelo Alvarez back in action, alongside a huge rematch with Jaime Munguia who takes on Bruno Surace, a battle of Heavyweights when Martin Bakole faces Efe Ajagba and the return of Badou Jack.
The king returns and its his first trip to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Canelo Alvarez makes his return in the ring to face William Scull for undisputed middleweight gold. Alvarez will make his Saudi debut this weekend in his 67th professional fight off the back of beating Edgar Berlanga and Jaime Munguia by UD. Canelo has been in talks with Turki Alalshikh ever since the kingdom has hosted fights, it all came to ahead when Canelo played Turki and Jake Paul against each other ending in a massive deal being struck between Canelo’s team and Turki Alalshikh. The deal includes a 3 fight contract setting up a potential fight with Terrence Crawford if he gets the win this weekend.
William Scull is the man between Canelo and Crawford currently, Scull will look to make one of the biggest upsets in the sport on Saturday night. Scull is a world champion in his own right having the IBF super middleweight title, Scull beat Vladimir Shishkin via UD to become IBF champion. Despite Scull fighting out of Cuba he has had the majority of his bouts in Germany where he currently resides. The Cuban is used to being on a card with Canelo after he beat Sean Hemphill on the Canelo Munguia undercard.

The undercards always have enticing fights in Saudi Arabia and this weekend is no different.
Jaime Munguia takes on Bruno Surace, this is a rematch after Surace completed the biggest upset of last years boxing schedule. Munguia is looking for revenge and to solidify himself and his rebuild after losing to Canelo and Surace.
Surace on the other hand is looking to ensure his victory is no fluke. The Frenchmen will be looking to make a name for himself once again and complete the double over Munguia.
The bad man is back to Saudi Arabia when Badou Jack returns for the 2nd title fight on the card he takes on Norair Mikaeljan as the Armenian comes in as a late replacement after original opponent Ryan Rozicki withdrew with injury. Jack will now look to take his title away this weekend and look for bigger fights in a stacked Cruiserweight division.
The Heavyweights also are back with Martin Bakole coming for Saudi revenge against young contender Efe Ajagba. Bakole is off the back of a KO loss to Joseph Parker on very very late notice. Ajagba on the other hand is on a red hot run of form winning his last 5 fights since losing a decision to Frank Sanchez.
The card also sees some young rising stars fight. Brayan Leon puts his 6-0-0 record on the line against 11-3-1 Aaron Rocha Guerrero, Leon is now a full stable mate of Canelo and is trained full time by Eddy Reynoso.
Olympic star Marco Verde makes his Lon awaited debut. Verde won silver in the Paris 2024 Olympics last year losing a decision to Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev in the final. He takes on 4-5-3 Michel Galvan Polina.
