Cage Warriors Unplugged returns in Manchester with prospects trying to make their name in the infamous yellow gloves.
Unfortunately the the Welterweight title fight was cancelled due to an injury to champion James Sheehan. Therefore, American whiz kid Chasen Blair gets the huge main event slot against Romanian Florin Pîrtea making his Cage Warriors debut. Blair has shone in his Cage Warriors tenure so far and has quickly become a fan favourite. The lightweight has only seen the judges once in his seven fight career and he can finish the fight anywhere. His opponent Pîrtea is coming into the fight off a loss to new Cage Warriors title contender Cristian Iorga. He has the chance to spoil the party and make a name for himself in Manchester.
Rhi-Rhi Hudson had a dream debut in July with a first round TKO in just 13 seconds. The prodigy is out of the Cage Warriors Academy and she aims to stay undefeated against Australian Alish Smith. Another product of the Academy is unbeaten Ollie Sarwa, he takes on experienced Peruvian Percy Herrera. Sarwa got three first round finishes in the Academy. One of the sports best up and coming gyms MMA Fight Academy are busy this weekend and Anthony Orozco kicks off the weekend along with his teammate in the main event. Orozco turned pro last year and is 3-0 in the yellow gloves after an excellent amateur career. Last time out he put on a dominant decision win at CW 167.
