Welterweight champion Belal Muhammed has responded back at Ilia Topuria latest comments.
The Georgian fighter claims Belal would be an easy fight for him if he decides to move up to the welterweight division.

Belal Muhammed Responds to Ilia Topuria
The pair have clashed several times on social media with Ilia Topuria claiming he would dominate Belal Muhammed if the pair faced off. The Georgian fighter has been vocal about how easily he would finish the welterweight champion. Speaking to KOlmenero Ilia said; “If Belal remains champion, it would be a walk in the park for me to go up and win the welterweight title… he’s a bum. Really, really bad… This morning I woke up and saw him say ‘If I see [Topuria] I’m going to slap him’… I’ll give you a slap, man. Shut up.”
Belal Muhammed didn’t take that lightly though as he responded. On his X account, Muhammed commented under the video and wrote; “Can’t wait till Max knocks this midget out and he goes back to acting in Shrek.”
Could the UFC schedule Muhammed vs Topuria?
With Ilia Topuria facing off against Max Holloway this weekend at UFC 308, it could pave the way for the Georgian to win two titles. Both champions seemingly appear to have a deep hatred towards one another it could see the UFC arrange a fight for the pair.
Blessed with incredible grappling skills Belal Muhammed is well renowned for his takedown and ground game. However, Ilia has incredible boxing and cardio and pushes the tempo of the fight. Whilst the welterweight champion tends to start slower but picks up the pace in the latter rounds.
If featherweight champion Ilia Topuria is successful in his title defence this weekend, he will most likely pursue a fight with Belal Muhammed. Ultimately, materialising the fight will come down to both fighters and the UFC. It will also depend on both fighters winning their respective fighters with the welterweight champion facing off against an undefeated prospect in Shavkat Rakhmonov
